Here at the Sixties Scoop and Residential Schools Department, we are guided by the Five Pillars of Reconciliation identified through the Sixties Scoop Engagement Process: Reparations, Apologies, Commemorations, Accountability, and Healing.

Building on the work of the Manitoba Métis Federation, the mission for the department is derived from the inherent right of the MMF to provide programs and services to its citizens. The Centre's Mission is to:
Support Métis Sixties Scoop and Residential School Survivor's re-integration into the Manitoba Métis community.
Building on the reconciliation aspiration of Sixties Scoop and Residential School Survivors and the goal of the MMF to support survivor's wellness needs, the vision for the Department is to:
Improve the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual wellbeing of Sixties Scoop and Residential School Survivors while strengthening their connection to the Métis community through Métis-driven programs and services.
The following eleven (11) core values are the fundamental beliefs, ideas, and practices of the Department. The core values dictate the Department's behavior to fulfill its mission, vision, and commitments to Sixties Scoop and Residential School Survivors.
